Wright's artwork is vibrant and energetic. She has an obvious
love of colour and a mastery of its qualities. Her themes of children
are not childish but remind us of that very intense stage of our
lives when every moment was something discovered for the first
time. The energy and motion of people and the vibrancy of the
light and air around are made visible in these paintings"

of art is an intuitive but also a cognitive activity. It seems
to me to be a circular and hopefully spiralling process of exploring
certain ideas, leaving those ideas for a while then, returning
to and expanding them. Over the years I have worked in a few different
media and styles. The style is dictated by the subject, how best
to express the joy of movement or alternatively the quiet of the
woods in winter ..."
